A glazed bridge links the main bedroom to the main area of the house, which has touches of mid-century design and is surrounded by rainforest.
According to the architects the bedroom was “raised above the cliff on visually unstable legs to emphasise its eyrie-like relationship to the tree tops and sky”. On the Santorini coastline, Kapsamalis Architects’ take on the quintessential architecture of the Greek islands proves that all-white is all right.
The cliffside home in the town of Fira has two roof terraces with plunge pools, and a third, larger swimming pool in the basement.”The connection between indoor and outdoor is achieved through the fact that the walls and the floor inside the house displays the same material as the exterior surfaces, finished in a local technique of white cement mortar,” the architects told Dezeen.
